Dear Parents/Carers
Welcome to the April edition of our Little Angels Huddersfield Nursery Newsletter, which is full of exciting and informative news and includes details on our forthcoming events.
Sun Protection
With the weather becoming warmer, please would you provide a sun hat for your child, clearly labelled with their name. Our Nursery will provide sun cream, which is Aldi sensitive, sun factor 50.
Should you wish to use a different brand, please bring in your own unopened sun cream, labelled with your child’s name for us to use here at nursery.
We also politely remind you to apply sun cream, prior to your child attending their nursery session. We are obligated by our regulator to ensure all children wear sun protection cream whilst playing outdoors, so your understanding and help with this important issue is very much appreciated.
Full Time School Leavers
As some of our children will be leaving us this summer to start full time school, please would you ensure that you have notified us of the relevant details, as we are in the process of completing Kirklees Transition Forms. These forms must be completed by all parents with children starting school this year. We are also in the process of liaising with schools to provide them with verbal information direct from each child’s key person. Please update us if you have any school visits arranged so your child’s key person can ensure the documentation is all ready for that date.
Jubilee Stay and Play
We would like to thank all who attended the Stay and Play session, held on Wednesday 1st June, and made it a great day.
Out of School Club
We still have some places available in our Out of School Club for September. If you haven’t already booked in and would like some more information on the schools we serve, or the sessions/days available,
please speak with either Morgan or Sophie. Please note that schools normally stagger their intake.
If your child is due to start full time school and will be leaving us some time later, don’t worry as we can still offer childcare in Pre-school until their official start date.
Staff Member and Room of the Month
‘Staff Member of the Month’ has been awarded to Leah K in Pre-school. Leah has come up with some fantastic activities, which follow the children’s interests and targets, in preparation for school.
Holiday Club has been awarded ‘Room of the Month’ for creating their very own Jubilee Party, decorations, games and activities.
Multi-Sports Sessions
We have been holding sports sessions for a number of years now. These sessions have always been a major success and are thoroughly enjoyed by the Pre-school children who take part. Letters have been sent out for the second part of the term. If you would like to book a place for your child, please complete the form and return it, along with the payment of £35 for the 7 week course. Places are limited so please book early.
Activities and Planning
Throughout the month of June our Pre-school children will be involved in role play and preparation for moving to school in September. They will also partake in many fun activities to support our Graduation.
Over 2s and Under 2s will focus on Emotions and Feelings this month. They will have group activities and discussions, using flash cards and different props. We will also be talking about Dads and other important figures in our children’s lives as we celebrate Father’s Day.
