Housed in a converted church in Lowerhouses, Little Angels Nursery in Huddersfield is rated Good, by Ofsted. This is thanks to our fantastic staff and facilities.
Within the nursery we care for children from birth to 5 years of age. We also have a Holiday Club and Out of School Club catering for primary school age children.
We use our knowledge of child development to create individual learning programmes for all of the children in our care.
We are proud to be regarded among the best nurseries in Huddersfield.

There are four rooms for growing children at Little Angels.
The ‘Baby Room’ is the cosiest and is self-contained. This is where we look after our youngest nursery members, some starting at just six weeks old!
There is also the Toddler, Over 2s and Preschool rooms. All of these areas contain educationally focused resources and activities to match the growing needs of each child.
We provide a wide variety of activities, including, mark making, painting, baking, music, technology and even foreign languages. We also make sure that all of the children spend some time outdoors every day.

Babies - 0-12 months
The Babies Room marks the start of your little one’s journey into childcare. Here at Little Angels we understand that this is a big first step – for babies and parents alike. We go out of way to make this transition as smooth as possible! Our environment is cozy and welcoming with lots of 1-1 attention.
Toddlers - 13-24 months
As your babies grow up, they transition into the the Toddler Room. Here at Little Angels, our environment is designed to provide both a seamless transition from the babies room, and an inviting experience for new Toddlers. Learning and education is integrated into our activities with our days remaining fun and enjoyable.
Over Two's - 25-36 months
The Over Two’s group at Little Angels is the next stage on your little ones journey through childcare. Activities are age appropriate and enriched with learning and education. This helps us provide the best possible setting for both fun and development.
Preschool 36 months +
Pre-school is the final step on your child’s journey to primary school. Our activities are focused on learning and development and preparing children for that step up. We ensure that by the time your little ones are ready to leave, they are completely prepared for a smooth transition to school.

“My name is Chloe, and I am the Manager at Little Angels Nursery in Huddersfield
I have worked in the Childcare industry for 5 years, after completing my NVQ Level 3 in childcare. I then achieved a BA(Hons) Degree in Childhood Studies at Huddersfield University.
From an early age, I developed a real passion for supporting young children and their families. As a mum myself, I channel the passion needed to give children the best opportunities to learn, grow and flourish.
At Little Angels, children are educated according to their individual needs. This allows them to thrive both indoors and outdoors.”

More than 90% of our staff are fully qualified childcare practitioners.
More than 90% of our staff are fully qualified childcare practitioners. We spend a lot of time training everyone to the highest possible standards. This allows us to ensure your child receives the highest quality childcare.
Our managers spend 75% of their time mentoring staff, observing staff and training. As such, we’re able to perform highly in each of the four categories Ofsted considers. Those being:

Healthy Eating
Meals at Little Angels
We love to teach children about being healthy:
Especially during meal times of breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea. Our experienced and qualified cook only uses fresh ingredients in the cooking.
The children are encouraged to learn how to make their own food, such as sandwiches and pizza. The garden area of our outdoor space is used to teach the children where some of their food comes from. We also allow them to grow vegetables which can then be cooked and eaten.
Our menu includes children’s food from around the world. Our kitchen also has the maximum star rating from the local council as approved by the Food Standards Agency.

Outdoor Space
Outdoor space is essential to our day….
… and keeping the children entertained is our top priority.
Our outdoor space is essential to our day – no matter the weather. With dedicated areas for different age groups, there’s plenty of space to do all kinds of things.
For the little ones, our ‘First Crawlers’ can explore our sensory grass. For the bigger children, we know from experience our Toddlers love our bikes and climbing area!
You can rest assured no matter the age group, Little Angels provides the perfect environment for your child.

Our Nursery Fees
At Shine Childcare, we believe in being totally upfront about our fees.
We want you to know what your costs will be and what help you are eligible for to help you pay.
This can include vouchers, tax free childcare and funded hours. We can even help you with any funding applications you are eligible for! Please note fees are always payable monthly in advance.

Catering for children from birth to 5 years, we are open each weekday, from 7.30am to 6.00pm, for 51 weeks of the year, excluding Bank Holidays. We offer the following sessions:
Full Day: 7.30am – 6.00pm
Morning: 7.30am – 1.00pm
Afternoon: 1.00pm – 6.00pm
