Dear Parents/Carers,
Welcome to the August edition of our Newsletter, which is full of exciting news and includes details of our forthcoming events.
Holiday Club
Our next Holiday Club will run from Monday, 25th July until Friday, 2nd September for children who are already attending school. Please note we are closed on Monday, 29th August due to the bank holiday. To book a place, or for more details, please speak to Chloe or Sophie in the office or email us your requirements to find out how we can help.
Holiday Dates
If you have any holidays planned over the summer period, please remember to let us know the dates. We would just like to remind you that absence for holiday or sickness is charged at the usual nursery rate.
Sun Protection
We have experienced some lovely weather and hopefully, we will experience more. We kindly ask that you provide a sun hat for your child, clearly labelled with their name. The nursery will provide sun cream, which is Aldi sensitive, sun protection factor of 50. Should you wish to use a different brand, please bring in your own unopened sun cream, labelled with your child’s name for us to use at nursery.
We ask that you apply sun cream, when necessary, prior to your child attending their nursery session. We are obligated by our regulator to ensure all children wear sun cream whilst playing outdoors, so your understanding and help with this important issue is very much appreciated.
Polite Reminders – Mobile Phone and Fees
Please be reminded that nursery fees are due in advance. If you have any queries about this, please speak to Chloe or Sophie in the office.
We are unfortunately unable to allow sessions to be swapped going forwards as this affects our staffing deployment; however, additional days can be booked provided we have availability. Please be reminded that mobile phones should not be used whilst waiting to collect your child and that you should arrive at least 10 minutes prior to the end of your nursery session, to allow sufficient time for collection and handover.
Our regulator, Ofsted, regards the use of mobile phones as a child safeguarding issue and as such your help in this regard is very much appreciated.
Staff News
Unfortunately, our Nursery Manager, Morgan, will be leaving us this month to take some well-needed time out with her young family. We wish her all the best for the future.
In the meantime, Chloe, our Deputy Manager, has returned following maternity leave and will be taking up the role of Manager. Many of you have seen or known Chloe before but those who haven’t will soon get to know her.
Sophie, our Pre-school Team Leader, has been promoted to Deputy Manager and will be working closely alongside Chloe.
For July, ‘Staff Member of the Month was awarded to Sophie for supporting her Pre-school in running fantastic graduation. Pre-schools were awarded ‘Room of the Month’ for their continuous commitment to supporting children’s transitions to school. Pre-school provided a wide range of transitional activities, such as school uniform role play, group discussions and mark-making tables with different stationery.
Please continue to make your nominations by using the nomination slips, located at the main and side entrances. You can also send your nominations directly to the office via email. We are greatly thankful for these.
Goodbye
We would just like to take this opportunity to say goodbye to all our children leaving to go to school this summer. They will be deeply missed and will always be a part of the Little Angels family. We would also like to thank you as parents for your continued support throughout the years. We hope you all had a fantastic time here and made memories to take away with you and cherish forever.
We look forward to seeing many of you in our Out of School Clubs.
