Dear Parents/Carers
Welcome to the May edition of our Newsletter, which is full of exciting and informative news and includes details on forthcoming events.
Partnership with Parents
Holiday Club
Bookings are now being taken for our Holiday Club, which will run from Monday 30th May until Wednesday 1st June for school age children. Children can attend our Club regardless of the school they attend; so if you have older children and would like further details, please call the office.
Please note that Nursery will be closed on the following Bank Holidays: Monday 2nd May, Thursday 2nd & Friday 3rd June 2022
Weather Changes
With the weather becoming warmer, please would you provide a sun hat, clearly labelled with your child’s name. Nursery will provide sun cream, which is Asda’s own, factor 50. Should you wish to use a different brand, please provide an unopened bottle, labelled with your child’s name to keep here at nursery. We ask that you apply sun cream, when necessary, prior to your child attending their nursery session. Please note we are obligated by our regulator to ensure all children wear sun protection cream whilst playing outdoors, so your understanding and help with this important issue is very much appreciated.
Out of School Care
We have spaces available in our Out of School Club, which runs daily during the school term from 7.30am until drop off and from pick up until 6pm. The schools we currently serve are Blackshaw Lane, Crompton Primary and St Joseph’s. Please call the office for further information.
Free Entitlement
Please note that the grant will not run from Monday 30th May to Friday 3rd June and that full fees will therefore apply during this time. The term will continue on Monday 6th June.
Dates for Your Diary
Festival of Eid Al-Fitr
We will celebrate the festival of Eid, on Tuesday 3rd May, and be looking at the breaking of the fast at the end of Ramadan.
Focus Country
For May our focus country is India. Please encourage your child to dress in ORANGE, WHITE and GREEN, the colours of the Indian flag on Wednesday 11th May. On this day we will spend time learning about Indian culture and traditions.
Easter Bonnet Parade
Thank you to all who took part in our annual Easter Bonnet competition, which was again a great success. Well done to all our participants.
